Encapsulation of aqueous bioactive extracts
Emulsicap enables the delivery of a bioactive water-based raw garlic extract with a high content of organosulphur compounds (OSC) in a gelatin capsule.
- The concentration of OSC in our extract has much higher biological activity than existing commercial garlic products.
- Up until now, the maximum water content in an oil emulsion that can be encapsulated in gelatin capsules is 5%. The revolutionary emulsion technology developed at NTNU increases the water content from 5% to at least 20% and enables encapsulation.
