Project Description
A new method for health status measurement in Atlantic salmon parr
A new non-invasive technology enabling measurement of fish health status. The method correlates to existing, but more time-consuming, measurements in organs in Atlantic salmon parr.
The method takes advantage of specific responsive molecular markers. It is inexpensive, sensitive, selective, fast and permits high-throughput measurements. Given these features, the method may allow for reduced mortality through regular measurements of the fish health.
